Review: Stella Eau de Parfum

I previously mentioned in this post that I purchased 'Stella by Stella McCartney' in a box set in the Boots sale. I've been meaning to get this perfume ever since I smelt it - which I think could possibly be a good few years ago now. If I ever read what the top notes were without smelling it, I think I would be put off. The perfume's scent is described as rose, peony and mandarin essence; middle notes of rose absolute and base notes of amber. I really don't like the scent of rose. It's the same with lavender. It's fine for my nan, but not for me. But, this rose scent is not like any other perfume on the market. I'd say it's more of a 'dramatic' rose scent. The amber really makes it a distinct strong smell. I don't find it too strong, but it can definitely last the day on me. I find it changes and you can often smell the different notes overpowering each other.
The only regret with this is firstly I didn't get it sooner and secondly I didn't pick up one of the limited edition floral bottles. I still love the bottle I have, as it looks quite classic.

  5. I actually like the bottle more than the scent itself, it was pretty enough, but when I finished it, I kept the bottle as a decoration on my dressing table
