My desk space

I'm finally happy with my desk space. I try to keep to a theme. I love white walls (and if you have been to my house you would pick that up pretty easy).

Giveaway

I've just reached 500 GFC Followers this week, so I thought I would do a Giveaway as a little thank you. I was a little un-sure on what to give away...

Stella

I previously mentioned in this post that I purchased 'Stella by Stella McCartney' in a box set in the Boots sale. I've been meaning to get this perfume ever since I smelt it - which I think could possibly be a good few years ago now...

New in: Newlook wedge boots

I've been wanting to purchase these boots from Newlook but since going back to my local store to purchase them they have only had size 6's which my big feet will not squeeze into. Whilst having a look for them I saw these wedge style boots.

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

I finally brought the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I really don't know what has took me so long. With so many amazing reviews on the product I really wanted to try it myself. This is also my first Liz Earle product.

Update: Opening a shop

Instagram @unobserved

I've been a bit MIA again from the blog. Mostly because I've been busy trying to sort out finance for opening a shop and been out in the sun. Got to make the most of the weather because it will sure be raining next week.
Sunday evenings come round so quickly. We're just abotu to have a BBQ. Im trying to sit in the shade though as I am so pale and use to burn badly so I've lavered myself in sun cream and staying put in the shade. Nothing worst than blisters. I've had to get the fake tan out again though. Think I prefer to be darker. Makes me feel like I'm slimmer when I really should stop eating all that junk food. I now have a tab open ready to look at cross trainers, haha. Will be slim for summer. Definitely.

Hopefully if I get the finance sorted for my shop I will be posting regulary again. Really missed it.

New in: Newlook Low back knitted top

LOW BACK KNITTED TOP - NEWLOOK £9.99

I got this at Newlook last week after looking for ages for a low back knitted top. Wish I got it in a size below though as it's so baggy. But I like it. May have to get another. Think it would look perfect with some denim shorts. I've worn it with a highwaisted jersey skirt with a floral bralet underneath. Makes me feel really summer, espically when it looks like we're going to finally get some lovely weather.

Fashion: Jones + Jones dresses

I was just going through my bookmarks sorting out which can be deleted and what not, when I realised I how many Jones + Jones dresses was there. I have wanted one for over a year now and I really need an occasion to get one. They are really reasonably priced. I love how unique and sixties the styling is. Think it's the flared out skirts I love the most though. I hate my legs so always look for dresses which aren't skimp tight and flare over my hips. I love the shade of the Border laura dress, but I would love a white one. Not sure my pale skin tone would carry one off though. Fake tan at the ready!

New in: Essie @ TK Maxx - Nail polishes & Nail mask

I often go into TK Maxx to look at the homeware section as I often find some lovely things which I wouldn't else where. Every so often I will also have a look at the beauty section. I remember a couple of months ago seeing that they had some nail care products by Essie, but they didn't take my fancy although I wish I picked up the cuticle remover now.
I got the set of the Nail polishes at the weekend, and they had so many I found it hard to choose. Think I'm going to go back and get some more. I hadn't tried any Essie polishes before, but always heard what good quality they are. Don't think the photo of the polish on my nails does it justice as I quickly did it and had some ugly glitter polish I couldn't remove underneath. I spent an hour last night soaking them, and finally it is off. I do still love chunky glitter polish. It's just such a pain to remove.

Anyways, back to the polish. My favourite has to be the dusky mauve shade which is 'In stitches'. It is comparable to Models Own Vintage pink. Better consistency though.
The Essie polish in 'She's picture perfect' is so so pretty. It has flecks of blue, pink and lilac running through it. In the photo I have only applied one coat, so I'm sure if it was built up it would be opaque. The colour is more on the metallic side and not glittery. Think it's really unique. Well it is in my nail polish collection.
The red is a pinkey/red in the shade 'red label'. It would look great with a tan in the summer. Another thing I have noticed with Essie polishes is the shine it creates. I usually use a shine top coat but think my nails would be way too shiny if I did.

I also got Essie's Pre-manicure Nail mask. This one is for Normal nails. There was one for Dry nails but the packaging was even more battered than this one. And this one if pretty battered ,as you can probably see. I've never tried any nail masks before so really wanted to try it. There are three sets in the product. For just £3.99 that's pretty cheap. I often get dry nails and with changing my polish every few days I can see how damaged my nails look. Hopefully it helps. I'll post my thoughts on it when I finally get a chance to use them.
I did think when purchasing the Essie products, that they would have been dis-continued or something but just had a look at the website and they are still available. The polishes came in a pack of three for £9.99. So I basically got each one for just over £3. Pretty much a bargain. I'm going to definitely go back and get some more. TK Maxx has stocked the old line of Stilla products for so long, and with the occasional recent Nars Product in there also it's definitely worth checking out your local TK Maxx.

Makeup favourites: April

I thought I'd do a post to show which products I am using at the moment. This is the makeup bag which I have to carry with me as I go to my parents each morning in the week as I don't drive and my boyfriend starts work super early.

My favourites of last month have to be the Illamasqua Skin base foundation. I mix this with Bourjous Healthy Mix. This was because I thought the Illamasqua one was breaking me out but I soon realised that it wasn't as my skin was got worse even after using a different foundation. I loved the effect they were mixed. So I've stook to it. The Healthy mix foundation stays on the skin really well, when the illamasqua one has the nicest finish.
I have loved using the Loreal Telescopic mascara. It gives the perfect fluttered effect separating each individual lash.
Real techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman have been everywhere literally ever since they were released. It took me a while to purchase some but when they were released in Boots I just had to. They are my favourite brushes. Think I need to buy duplicates. Sorry for them being dirty. I had just used them.
Finally my MUA Eye primer has been amazing. I have been loving wearing a brown smokey eye and never understood the reason for one. It keeps the colour intense throughout the day and stops any creasing. Think it was only £2.50 as well. So I'll be stocking up on them.
