My desk space

I'm finally happy with my desk space. I try to keep to a theme. I love white walls (and if you have been to my house you would pick that up pretty easy).

Giveaway

I've just reached 500 GFC Followers this week, so I thought I would do a Giveaway as a little thank you. I was a little un-sure on what to give away...

Stella

I previously mentioned in this post that I purchased 'Stella by Stella McCartney' in a box set in the Boots sale. I've been meaning to get this perfume ever since I smelt it - which I think could possibly be a good few years ago now...

New in: Newlook wedge boots

I've been wanting to purchase these boots from Newlook but since going back to my local store to purchase them they have only had size 6's which my big feet will not squeeze into. Whilst having a look for them I saw these wedge style boots.

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

I finally brought the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I really don't know what has took me so long. With so many amazing reviews on the product I really wanted to try it myself. This is also my first Liz Earle product.

Thoughts: Sunday night

Well today was meant to involve finishing the design of my website and finish taking stock pictures but I had to go back to Comet to exchange my printer I brought yesterday. Somehow brought a printer, got it home and someones driving license was in the scanner part. So, had to go back to the shop to get one which hadn't been using. So strange. Anyway, I managed to get started on clearing out some of our bedrooms. One bedroom is actually going to be used as an office, I think I have previously spoke about it in a post. We've managed to use the spare rooms as storage for magazines, clothes and general rubbish that we don't want. So I have sorted everything out and I'm able to sit at my desk on my Macbook. Which is a little strange as I usually have to sit at the kitchen table or lounge on the sofa. The weekend has flown by, once again! Even though it isn't the end of the night yet so I'll have to make the most of it. Think I'm going to print some photos for the ever so many photo frames I have collected since moving in. I haven't had chance to print anything, as had never had a printer to hand.
With my sudden urge of tidying I have also spent the day looking at interior ideas. I have my office planned completely, just need to decide how I am going to have my Living room. Although, I am definitely having the rest of the walls painted grey. I'm currently trying to flog some furniture so I cant take a trip to Ikea. Decided that I am getting this bed or this bed with the shelf headboard. Just got to measure up the space.
Better get making the most of my night. Hope you like my new layout. Was a total faff. But it's done. Very minimal, how I like it.

Wants: Spring pastels

Not sure about you, but I'm really looking forward to Spring. Even though, we have probably got loads more Winter weather on the way yet. It was forcasted to snow this weekend, but the sun is out and theres a blue sky.
Pastels are appearing on the highstreet. I'm hating that fact that their are bikinis out already. It's January. Very depressing. Although, I really want to book a holiday this year. But I better get saving.
I've picked some of my favourite things on the highstreet at the moment. Really loving the bag from H&M, but it's sold out online, so hopefully there is still stock in near me.
Newlook has really impressed me recently. I remember last Christmas I went into my local Newlook, and there was loads I wanted. But this year, I went in and there was nothing. And then there was the sale, which if your local Newlook is like mine it just consisted of stuff that never seemed to be on the shelves before, featuring a lot of neon numbers. And then I hate the store when it is layed out for the sale. So cluttered, I just usually give up. But, I went in the other day and they had all their new stock in and I wanted nearly everything.
I really like the lace bow from ASOS. Even though, I don't want to look like a 5 year old, but think it would look really pretty. I think I may have a look in H&M and find a more suttle one.
I need those Topshop Vectras! How nice are they. I liked the black ones but I think the nude would look nicer and it softens the look of the studs.
Ahh, this just makes me want to go shopping. It's only a week till payday and my balance won't allow for spendings untill then.
Now I'm off to get dressed (had a super long lay in today!) and then go shopping for a few things. Think the plan for the afternoon when I get back is to finish adding products to my Online shop. I'm thinking that it will go live early/middle of Febuary, but I'll let you know! Managed to decide on the name for it as well. It's called Truly Allure. Which basically means when someone is attractive by just being themself without any material things. Thought it was really pretty. I din't want anything relating to the actual products I am selling. That way I can re think things as I go. What do you think?

Jewellery by Emi

You really cannot have enough jewellery. I like how costume jewellery changes with fashion trends and how you can transform an outfit with one key piece. I've actually come across this jewellery brand called 'Emi'. They have very unique jewellery and it's really pretty too.

My favourite from their brand are the necklaces with the feathers attached. I really like the look of the first one. Think it would go perfectly with an oversized black jumper in the colder weather and can then go into the summer season to accessorise with something lighter. The owl necklace is so cute, and considering that I've seen so many owl necklaces on the high street and I have owl necklace in different varations and colours, the feather makes it really different. I obviously still love jewellery on the high street from the rare Primark gems to every rail of Topshop, but often want something different which I know everyone and their dog won't have. Really worth checking their Spring/Summer Collection out. It's worth scrolling through their Lookbooks too. Any of the pieces catch your eye?

Wants: Canon DSLR EOS 600D

Decided that I'm finally going to take the plunge and buy myself a DSLR. The Canon EOS 600D to be exact. I kept swaying to some other cameras like one of the Nikon 1's as they look so pretty in real life. But I'm after something which has the features I want. The Canon 600D has a flip screen it is compatible with a wireless remote which would really help with taking pictures for my blog. I feel like my blog needs more pictures and less stock photos and maybe a bit more of my face?
My posts have been a bit bland at the moment as I am forever organising stock for my online website which will go live beginning-middle of February. Although I really want to but it live now, but packaging isn't sorted and I am still waiting for a few bits. You also may have noticed a change in my blog layout this last week. I have an idea of what I want it to look like, it's just taking so long tweaking all the coding till it's perfect. I managed to loose my layout as I thought I would back it up and export it and then I had a long night trying to arrange everything, blogger played up so  I tried to put it back but when I imported the layout it said it didn't contain all the information. I was gutted. So that is why my blog is looking a bit strange. But it is nearly there. I know the layout isn't for everyone and doesn't look like other typical beauty/fashion blogs but I fancied something a bit different and a little bit more 'me'.
Hopefully now my photos will be such a better quality the layout will fall into place. I do like BIG photos on the blogs though.
If anyone has a Canon DSLR or any views on a certain model please let me know, although I'm pretty decided on the 600D. Thankfully, I did photography at college so It wont be a struggle to operate.

Online website: Truly Allure preview

I've got my first lot of stock for my website now. I just need to get myself together with the rest. I've got to decide the packaging and everything though. That could take a while. I do love packaging though! How cute it the house lantern? I've been wanting to keep everything myself but I've stopped myself. Hopefully if my website is successful I'll treat myself to a few bits. I've also got my eye on the jewellery tree. I'm basically loving everything which I don't know if it is a good thing or bad? My website hasn't gone live yet but I can't wait.

Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Hair Products

With Boots having their 75% off Gifts sale I had a little look what they had. I got this for just £2.25. My hair is naturally curly and manages to get frizzy pretty easy so I've been looking for some hair care products which would minimise it. I tried it yesterday and already I can see a difference. I was worried that the products would weigh my hair down but it didn't. I used a tiny bit of the Scrunching jelly and surprisingly it doesn't leave any residue in your hair and has left my hair feeling really glossy. I usually use my tangle teaser after washing my hair while it's damp but I know your hair is so weak so I've been meaning to get a wide tooth comb for a while. Not bad all for £2.25. I'm going to continue trying the products and will probably buy the full size ones if it keeps my hair as it is. Although, I do like to change the products I use as I feel like my hair gets use to them and forgets what benefits it gives them.
Forgot to mention that the smell of Umberto Giannini products is amazing. The brand usually has lots of offers on in Boots. There is a lot of 2 for £7 and 2 for £9 offers so it can be very affordable. May have to try some more of their products.

New in: Dorothy Perkins Rouge Playsuit

I love the colour of this playsuit. I don't have anything red in my wardrobe. It's a deep red colour. I'm not keen on bright red clothing. Yet to find something. The playsuit really compliments you figure with the tie up waist and plunging neckline. I'm really after a black long sleeved version of maybe as a dress. I'm currently browsing Asos and Topshop. Really shouldn't. I've promised I won't buy anything untill I have lost the weight I want. I guess theres no harm in looking, will moitvate me to keep eating healthy. Although, I did buy some lovely shoes from Newlook today, (I lie, my mum brought them) just brought them in black. I'm planning to but the studded versions in Topshop in beige but going to wait till I'm near a Topshop to try them on. I always hate being disappointed when I order something online that doesn't fit. I'm so impatient.

Review: Mac Strobe Cream

MAC STROBE CREAM  30ml £12 50ml £21.50

Anything that has the intention of creating moisturising skin instantly attracts me. At the moment my skin is feeling pretty dry (like usual actually). This is more of a quick fix to create dewy looking skin. I don't replace this with my moisturiser. I use my moisturiser as normal but then add this over the top. There are many ways you can use this. You can just use it as a highlighter, mix it into your foundation or apply it over your foundation. I apply it over my foundation and then extra on my cheekbones once I have done my base. I used to use Benefit's High Beam but I found that sunk into my pores throughout the day. This stays perfectly. I'm going to try mixing it in with my foundation and see what effect of that is. I love how it doesn't have chunky glitter in it so it can look natural for day time makeup. You can also build it up for it to be more intense. It may be a little pricey but a little goes a very long way. It also comes in the 30ml bottle, lotions and liquids. I assume the liquid would be more of a thin texture which would suit more oily skin types. It's become my favourite highlighter, and really worth trying if you look for some extra glow.

Review and Makeup look: Naked 2 Palette

I haven't had chance to try the Naked 2 Palette all week, it's been sat on my dressing table waiting for me. I've seen tons and tons of posts on beauty blogs already about it. Some saying it isn't very pigmented while others are saying they love it. I agree with both. Luckily, for me I am pale so the original Naked Palette would be too intense for day looks personally. So this palette for me has shades which I can wear in the daytime and shades that I can use for nightime. They are so creamy and the only one I have had problems with pigmentation with is 'Foxy' but that is purely from when I was trying to take photos for swatches. I have used it for a base for my shadows which works perfectly to even out your eyelid. I have posted a photo of my eye closer up so you can see the colour more easier. Today I wore 'Bootcall' on my lid, 'YDK' on the outer corner and through the crease and 'Half Baked' on the inner corner and under the eye. These are all the lightest of shades and they have given a lovely dimension to my eyes. I also used 'Blackout' which is the perfect matte black in the eyelashes to give them a fuller effect.
I'm glad I decided to purchase the palette. I was currently using the MUA Heaven and Earth one but the lasting power is not as good as this. Although for the price and pigmentation it is a bargain. It will be perfect for travelling as I won't have to take any other shades. It is all in one place.

Interior: Project wardrobe

I'm currently sorting through my wardrobe at the moment. I some how managed to store my clothes a bit of everywhere. My boyfriend has his clothes in the Chest of Drawers and I have one draw of that and then a lot was in storage boxes in the spare room and office. I did have a Chest of Drawers in the wardrobe which were a cheapy set which was left from the previous owners but we hadn't had chance to take out yet. So today we got them out, so now my clothes have the whole length of the wardrobe and can hang perfectly. I still have loads left to hand but my back started aching so going to organise the rest of my room then carry on. I think the wood work needs painting white to match my room. Look's a bit strange I think. I use to store my shoes on the shelf at the top of the wardrobe but now their on a shelf on the wall I think I will purchase some matching storage boxes so that I can organise my clutch bags and belts as well as anything else I have which doesn't have a certain place. I've also managed to make a pile of clothes that I haven't worn for such a long time so going to get rid of them. Really need to go clothes shopping but promised myself I will once I've lost a bit of weight. I've managed the whole week eating healthy ish. I think the worse thing I had was a sausage and chips from the fish and chip shop but I haven't had any sweets or anything. I've snacked on fruit throughout the day. Next week I think I will try and have breakfast every morning, which is something I never find time to do.

Review: Dove Cream Oil Body Wash and Conditioner

DOVE CREAM OIL NOURISHING BODY WASH, DOVE INTENSIVE REPAIR CONDITIONER

It's only been since recently that I've brought a product from Dove. The brand always made me think that they had 'ok' products. I suffer with dry skin so I always like some moisturising products. I picked up their Cream Oil and from the first time of using it I loved it! It is so smooth and smells amazing! It's kind of a mix between vanilla and something I don't know! It definitely made my skin so much softer and moisturised. I often alternate with this and other products in the shower. At the moment it is between Soap and Glory's clean on me and this.
This product made me want to try out their conditioners. I got their normal conditioner of this a couple of time and just recently I got the 'intensive repair' formulae. It works a treat! It's saved my hair from becoming dry and really boosted it, making it shiny too. It's for daily use even though it is a treatment. It reminds me alot of the Aussie Miracle hair treatment but in an even more creamier texture. I've just ran out of this, so going to go and purchase another tomorrow. Really worth a try if you haven't already.

New adventure: Online shop

I recently did a 6 month Apprentice, and managed to get a well paid full time job at the end. I'm aware that most people who was at my college continued their studies at university but I decided to take a different route. I never enjoyed school and although I enjoyed my college course studying media I couldn't wait to finish. I really wanted to earn some money. I managed to live off a below minimum wage, but it has paid off. Just recently I have wanted to create my own website. Well it hasn't just been recently, I've had a few ideas in my head for a while now. As I said I work full time, but I want to do something on the side of that. Yes I blog but I look at that as a hobby. I think most bloggers do. I wouldn't write a blog post if I didn't want to. So, I'm going to start up a website. I have already arranged my stockists and I'm ready to start designed the website. I think I'll do a feature on my blog once it is up and running and show you what products I am stocking. I'm thinking along the lines of handbags, jewellery and homeware. But it will all tie in together nicely. I'm going to making my first order of stock in the next few days but it wont completely be stocked up untill another month yet as of delivery time and sorting out importing items. I'm trying to jot down some name ideas but I'm un sure. I was going to tie it in with my blog but couldn't think how. Hopefully it will be live in a couple of weeks. Anyone else set up a website recently? I know there's a fair few of jewellery ones around.

Outfit Post: Casual Grey and Nude

GREY OVERSIZED JUMPER - H&M, DRESS (WORN AS SKIRT) H&M, TIGHTS - PRIMARK, NECKLACE - MATALAN

Just went for something casual to work today. Didn't feel like getting up at all, but who does? Although, I had a surprisingly good day at work today. The day flew by, but now I'm homealone while the boyfriend goes cinema as I'm not feeling up to it.
Feel's strange having my face more on my blog, even if it is my second outfit post. I'll try and take a better quality one tomorrow, as I haven't been getting the settings right. I have to use a daylight spot light to take the photos so it's a bit of a faf. Really want to get a DSLR. I'm running out of settings to alter and I've studied photography so been wanting one ever since. The only thing putting me off it the bulkiness of them. If I want to take it out I would have to fit it in my handbag (although my handbag is massive). Been looking at the Canon EOS 600D but still need to think about. If anyone has one please give me some advice :)
Now my plan for tonight is to catch up on some blogs and youtube videos along with sorting my finance out. Trying to stop myself from eating all the rubbish in the house. Really need to go shopping to get some healthy options. Although I am doing well so far. Haven't had any thing I would consider bad, and been controlling my sugar cravings. Going to get looking at some recipes, although I reckon my boyfriend will be bringing back takeaway but I'm going to stop myself having something as it will want me to have it more. It definitely wont be a McDonalds though. Maybe just sausage and chips. Even though it probably has the same calories in than a McDonalds. But I keep reading up about all the addictive things which makes you crave more. So I'm cutting that out.
I'm thinking that if I eat something bad I will just eat things healthier before and after and then exercise more. Think I will be motivated if I exercise so I can eat something not so healthy. I'm guessing so. So looking up food blogs is on my schedule. Hope everyone is having a nice week, and I still have bits left in my blog sale if you fancy a look. Managed to sell a few things, which surprised me.

Blog Sale thoughts?

Was just about to put some things on Ebay as I have been having a clear out, but thought maybe I should have a Blog Sale with my un wanted makeup. Most of it is Brand new, so think it may be worth it. I really want to make some extra space in my room. Feel like my makeup just keeps growing and growing and a lot of it gets un touched. What do you think?

Outfit: Knitwear and Pleated Chiffon Skirt

KNITTED JUMPER - DOROTHY PERKINS, PLEATED CHIFFON SKIRT - ASOS,
CHAIN NECKLACE - ASOS WATCH - ASOS

Haven't done a post like this before. Excuse the colour difference in the photos. Lighting is awful outside, keeps changing none stop. So I finally got to use my tripod. Today, I have just tidied up and started to organise my clothes and jewellery. Going to have a sort out and list some things on Ebay with the free listing weekend which is happening. Really want to make some money and clear some extra space. Although, I hate listing things on Ebay as it's such a drag and then all the charges etc.
I've had a really bad hair day today. It really needs a cut but I'm not sure how shorter I want it how I want the front part shaping. Really scared to go to the hairdressers. It never turns out the way I want it.  But i seriously need some type of fringe at the front to shape my face. As you can see when my hair doesn't want to do what it wants it looks a mess and makes my face a weird shape. Oh the joys!
I spend most of last night planning my money out. I really want to buy a Cross trainer. Hopefully it will help me to get into shape. I started to try and eat healthier last week. I think I have managed ok. Only really bad meal I had was last night's sausage and chips from the fish shop. But once I get used to the early mornings for work again I am going to prepare my lunch and make myself have a breakfast.
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. Back to Monday tomorrow, ahh.
Anyways... let me know what you think about doing outfit posts. I thought it would take me ages to take a photo of my outfit but did it surprisingly quick.

New in: Interior 'Trinket Box'

I'm calling this a trinket style box, but I'm really not sure what it is. It came with instructions about having a candle inside. I was going to spend the day at home today, but a change of mood made me want to go shopping and browse for some purchases. I found this trinket box in 'The Range'. It has such pretty things in there. I also got a few other bits for our house, but not so exciting. I've actually decided to re-decorate our living room after a couple of months. I did it purple. I'm really not a purple type of a person. So god knows why. I actually was wearing a purple mauve colour nail varnish at the time of deciding. So I blame that. Thank god, I only did one wall purple and around the fire place purple wallpaper. The rest is a grey colour. So I'm going to continue the grey around the rest of the room. My boyfriend is definitely hating me over this. But it has to be done. Would make it a lot easier when I'm getting bits for it now as I wasn't keen on purple candles. I currently have white furniture in the there and white candles, so hopefully the grey will tie in more.Tomorrow, I'm planning to do an outfit post, that is however if it is worthy of photos. Although I do really want to take picture of what I wear day to day and not to mislead anyone on what I wear. As this is MY blog, it has to be about me and not a copy of any other blogger is wearing. Or even wearing an outfit just for the purpose the outfit post. Really want it to be honest. But thankfully I'm not the one to grace the streets in joggers, so that should be ok. If it's not something I will be wearing as an outfit for the day, I will say. I don't want to start a deluded life online. (Not that I am intending that any other bloggers/vloggers does this, but I have thought to myself that a certain outfit would look nice to post as an outfit but un till I wear it, I wont post it). I want the blog to show what I get up to, purchase and wear.

Naked 2 Palette

Just to let you know, (if you didn't know already) that the Naked 2 Palette is now available to buy from the Debenhams website. I've just ordered mine so hopefully it will be here either Tuesday or Wednesday as Debenhams usually have really good delivery. It was really quick over Christmas which was un usual.

Things to find: Naked Palette 2, Ruffles, Zara...

These things are what I am currently searching for as of the start of 2012. First up is the Naked 2 Palette. This is released next Monday on the Debenhams website, i believe. So hopefully that will be purchased next week. Exciting! Ruffles. I really want some curtains which feature a little bit of ruffling. Not over the top, granny style. Hopefully to match my bedding.
The Soleil tan de Chanel has been out of stock everywhere for a while. Exactly when I decided enough is enough, and that I had to try the product out and it goes off the shelves. I read somewhere that it is because of the lid, so they are re packaging it?! I hope so.
I'm really after a perfume/candle tray. Not sure which I would use it for, but I may have a search in some second hand shops where I'm sure I could source one down. I lie, I haven't been in a Second hand shop before so this will be a task. I really want a vintagey looking one.
The shoes are to die for. The heels are by Zara, but it is one of them key pieces which sell out instantly and then get sold on Ebay for a million times the price. River Island have done a similar shoe, but I'm thinking of getting some flats in the style now. The flats in the picture are Christian Louboutins and retail for around the £250 mark, so they are not going to be affordable just at the moment!
Finally, I'm after a few different size/shape jars to decorate my house with. I wouldn't mind one in my bedroom to hold big pieces of jewellery in or one in my office to just decorate. Really want to get along with accessorising my house.

A little update

FINALLY, I've got myself a tripod. I'm actually excited to be able to take outfit posts and take pictures so much easier. I'm going to post my outfit on Saturday (if it's nice enough). I've made a few changes on my blog this last week. Firstly, changed my layout. I was getting a bit board of the white background but didn't want anything looking tacky. I just went for a plain grey background and then re-designed my header with Photoshop. It's very minimalistic but that's what I like and I want my blog to represent me. As well I've got loads of ideas of posts I want to do. I do usually have an idea, then go grab my camera and do my post instantly. I dislike it when you read a blog and you can tell it has been scheduled or wrote a while ago and posted late. That's just my opinion though. I like everything to look fresh. I'm also going to feature more personal photos of my myself. Meaning more photos of me. Oh dear, you might think. But I feel like I post a lot of product photos and need to actually feature the products in use. I.e on my face or in my hair. Hopefully my blog will keep expanding the way I would like it.
I'm also thinking about featuring some bloggers in my sidebar. So let me know if you would like to exchange links or anything. Drop me an email at unobserved326@gmail.com As well I have been thinking about finally getting a domain for the blog. The only thing stopping me is deciding what I want it to be. I was it to be .co.uk, but I'm not sure whether to have un-observed or unobserved. Not that it matters extremley but it's getting on my nerves.

Review: Kate for Rimmel Lipstick in Shade two

I received this Lipstick from a Blogger through Rachel @ Life of a sweetaholic's Secret Santa. I actually don't know who the blogger is but feel free to let me know!
I saw the press release of this collection from Kate Moss for Rimmel a while ago but haven't had chance to have a proper look. I think I did see some in Boots but they only stocked a few colours. The shade I have is in Shade two. When I first saw it, I thought it was just a average red lipstick. But, after applying it to my lips it turned into a deep pink. I'm not sure how to describe it but it isn't bright pink, but it's not dark pink. Oh dear, I'm not doing well at this. The formulation is so glossy and doesn't dry my lips out one bit. That is what I worry about when buying a lipstick. Everyone must hate having/seeing lipstick in the cracks of your lips. It also stays put for a long time too. I always think with dark/bright shades of lipstick that you would constantly have to keep re-applying it. I wore it the whole of Boxing day and it had only fading by late afternoon. And considering that I ate and everything that's impressive. I'm definitely going to go and try some other shades. I really want to try 'Shade 5' in the collection. I think I also got fooled by the whole stand of the collection had different shades of deep red, but I was completely wrong. Shade 5 looks like a deep nude pink.
Also, the packaging isn't as tacky as you would expect from a Celebrity collaboration with a Drug Store Brand. Well, obviously Kate Moss isn't your typical tacky celebrity. She is the face of the brand. Look what she brought to Topshop. Her collections with Topshop were breathless. You can see in this video where Kate is being interviewed for the launch of the lipstick collection, that she has had a lot of involvement in creating her collection and more importantly what type of formulation she wanted the lipsticks to be. The packaging is very sleep as well, a matte black featuring Kate's signature in red.

Wants: Office Interior

Glass shelf Table Top - IKEA, Lamp - Ikea, Vase - Ikea, Floor Lamp - Ikea, Candle - H&M Home, Mirror - Ikea, Vase - Ikea, Jar - Ikea, Acrylic Pen Pot - MUJI, Candle sticks - Ikea, Acrylic Magazine File - Homebase, Glass Memo Board - Ikea, Storage boxes - Ikea, Storage Boxes - Ikea, Kate Moss by Mario Testino Book, Alexander McQueen Genius of a Generation Book, Flowers - Ikea

Definitely love Ikea, as you may see. I'm really needing a good desk for my office. I've noticed how much easier it is to sit at a desk (and does my painful back wonders!). I've been looking for inspiration for how to accessorise my office and thought I'd show some of my ideas. I like doing this 'want' style posts as it actually helps me when I've looking for things to remember what I like and where it's from. Wish I could put shelves up but when the boyfriend put up the last shelf in our it basically fell off bringing the plaster with it! It wasn't great. I'm going to buy a bookcase/shelving unit instead. Think I may do this in my office too. Saves the stress.
I really want to get some fashion/beauty books, not just to look and read through but to have on display. Think that will really help to give the room a personality. It's not going to be a typical office look I am going for as I just need a room in which I can sit at a desk instead of slouching on the sofa or my bed. Now I have a house with rooms I need to make use of them.
Talking about rooms, I need to finish painting which I am hating. I found out I had asthma just over a month ago and following that I had a freak out when the boyfriend painting the hall way. So I don't want that to happen again. But that has resulted in the painting coming to a stand still. Our spare bedroom is pink! So that room really needs doing. Hopefully he will find some time while I'm at work and paint it. Hint hint. But It will probably be weeks yet. Although I do plan to put a Cross trainer in my spare room but more on that to come. I'll do a post about this in the week.
Once pay day arrives I think I'll make an order to H&M Home. I've received mixed reviews over the delivery, but I concluded it takes a while because it is transported from far, far away. I will have to be patient as they have some stunning stuff. But so does Zara Home! So going to get browsing now. Hope you have had a lovely day. I'm just waiting for a Chinese. I'm starting to eat healthy tomorrow, so going to indulge now. And back to work, boohoo!

Review: Illamasqua Blushes in Tremble and Promise

Powder Blush in Tremble Cream Blush in Promise

I haven't purchased ant Illamasque products before. I had a browse just before Christmas and asked for a couple for Christmas. 'Tremble' is a Powder blush and when I first opened it I was a bit gutted by the fall out it had and the chalky texture. But, when applying it to my cheeks it turned into a silky texture and looked more like a creme blusher. The colour is between a coral and pink. It changes within different lights. It's very much like my Topshop Neon Rose. But not exactly. The staying power of the blush is amazing. I still have it on my cheeks when I take my makeup off at night. It doesn't budge or fade one bit. You can apply it lightly for a sheer colour or build it up for a more dramatic look. It doesn't go cakey when you layer it which I find with a lot of Powder blushes.

The other blush is a Cream blush in 'Promise'. This is the most creamiest and softest cream blush I own. I swatched it on my hand when I got it and it was so creamy but not too thick. If you love the dewy look on the skin this is perfect. It is very reflective but contains no glitter. It's a deep pink. Very much like Mac's Ladyblush but a little bit brighter. Again the staying power is amazing.

Can't believe I haven't tried any products from Illamasqua before. I'm now lusting after their Skin Base Foundation. And it's definitely worth checking out what they have left in their Sale.

End of 2011

As it is New Years Day I thought I'd do a quick post to mark it. I have been blogging for just over a year now but throughout 2011 I have enjoyed it more and more. I like to think of my blog as somewhere I can get all my thoughts down, even if it isn't about beauty or fashion. As well I'm not sure what type of blog I would be categorised into. I hate the idea of my blog having to go into a category because I post about Beauty, Fashion, and Lifestyle. Now that I have moved out I'm always searching for new interior ideas.
I've met some lovely people through my blog and hope to meet more as I carry on.

I hope everyone have a lovely 2011 and Best wishes for 2012. Happy New Year Everyone.

Review: Vera Wang - Love Struck

When this perfume first got released I knew I wanted it. I love the bottle too. Very similar to the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfumes. The scent is very girly. If you like your florals this is perfect. It has top notes of pink guava and angelica flower, a mid note of tuberose, and a base of precious woods and sheer musk. It's basically a musky floral with a burst of fruitness. Reminds me a lot of one of the Ghost perfumes I had a few years ago and Vera Wang Princess but a more mature take on it. It doesn't last absolutely ages unlike some others I have but I easily keep topping it up and it fades gradually. Must admit the advert for the perfume made me want to purchase it first. It features Gossip Girls' Leighton Meester looking stunning reenacting out a modern day Romeo and Juliet. The adverts to perfumes always pull me in. Not sure if it is that I studied Media Production or that I just get drawn in. Still want J'adore Dior generally from the advert. It's my most favourite imagery and sound ever.
The perfume reminds me of Spring/Summer so will help me through these dull months as well as looking pretty on my dressing table. Some people may not like the bottle but I love it. I think without the chiffon ribbon it wouldn't look the same. The ribbon adds the perfect touch to it, stopping it from looking cheap form the rubber flowers. Again, very alike to the Marc Jacobs bottle but I love the daisy bottles equally. Thankfully I don't own any so my dressing table won't be looking OTT.
