Review: Vera Wang - Love Struck

When this perfume first got released I knew I wanted it. I love the bottle too. Very similar to the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfumes. The scent is very girly. If you like your florals this is perfect. It has top notes of pink guava and angelica flower, a mid note of tuberose, and a base of precious woods and sheer musk. It's basically a musky floral with a burst of fruitness. Reminds me a lot of one of the Ghost perfumes I had a few years ago and Vera Wang Princess but a more mature take on it. It doesn't last absolutely ages unlike some others I have but I easily keep topping it up and it fades gradually. Must admit the advert for the perfume made me want to purchase it first. It features Gossip Girls' Leighton Meester looking stunning reenacting out a modern day Romeo and Juliet. The adverts to perfumes always pull me in. Not sure if it is that I studied Media Production or that I just get drawn in. Still want J'adore Dior generally from the advert. It's my most favourite imagery and sound ever.
The perfume reminds me of Spring/Summer so will help me through these dull months as well as looking pretty on my dressing table. Some people may not like the bottle but I love it. I think without the chiffon ribbon it wouldn't look the same. The ribbon adds the perfect touch to it, stopping it from looking cheap form the rubber flowers. Again, very alike to the Marc Jacobs bottle but I love the daisy bottles equally. Thankfully I don't own any so my dressing table won't be looking OTT.
