My desk space

I'm finally happy with my desk space. I try to keep to a theme. I love white walls (and if you have been to my house you would pick that up pretty easy).

Giveaway

I've just reached 500 GFC Followers this week, so I thought I would do a Giveaway as a little thank you. I was a little un-sure on what to give away...

Stella

I previously mentioned in this post that I purchased 'Stella by Stella McCartney' in a box set in the Boots sale. I've been meaning to get this perfume ever since I smelt it - which I think could possibly be a good few years ago now...

New in: Newlook wedge boots

I've been wanting to purchase these boots from Newlook but since going back to my local store to purchase them they have only had size 6's which my big feet will not squeeze into. Whilst having a look for them I saw these wedge style boots.

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

I finally brought the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I really don't know what has took me so long. With so many amazing reviews on the product I really wanted to try it myself. This is also my first Liz Earle product.

New in: Peacocks Leopard Print Wedges

Just a quick post as I start to get ready for tonight. I''ve struggled to find something to wear for NYE but finally picked a playsuit up in Dorothy Perkins in the sale. It is two sizes too big but I'm going to make some alterations. I strangely found these wedges in Peacocks and had to have them. It's not a usual shop I would find anything in but it is next to Boots on the out of town shopping park near me. My shoe collection is definitely growing. This time last year I had a couple of pairs. They are so comfy as well. Hope everyone has a lovely night tonight to end the year and looking forward to what the new year brings us!

Celine Inspired: Aldo Handbag

I've managed to move out my old handbag and in to my new one properly now. Anyone else love doing this? I got this for Christmas and it's actually in the sale now. Worth checking out online or in store. I love the gold detailing of it and as it's not real leather it looks pretty good quality considering.
I'm now off on a quest to find a dress for NYE. Don't want something too OTT. Think we're just going to spend it in a pub or something. Only got Newlook and Dorothy Perkins in my local town though so hopefully I can find something there otherwise I will have to trail else where. May have a nosey at some sales too although payday isn't till Febuary so I'm going to have to stretch myself.

Decisions: Urban Decay Naked Palette 2

As the Naked 2 Palette release date in the UK becomes upon us, your probbaly alike me and you are debating whether to purchase it or not. I actually don't have the original one. I wanted it for a while after seeing so much hype upon it but I managed to focus on other eyeshadows. I started getting more interested in the MAC Eyeshadows. And of as lately I have been happily using my MUA Heaven and Earth Palette which is a bargain of a price. When I saw release dates and stock pictures of the Naked 2 Palette it reminded me of the original and how much I once had it. Again I've been looking at blog posts and lusting after the palette. I think watching MakeupbyTiffanyD's video comparing the both made me want either of them even more. Now I'm not one for matte eyeshadows. I love a bit of shimmer on the eyes and of course I love nude colours. So the obvious palette to choose would be the original one. But now with all the hype of the new one I really want that one. I think the packaging of the original for me the original palette looks nicer. Although I love the shade of the Naked Palette 2 and that would probably last longer and be easier to maintain being clean. Also the Naked 2 Palette comes with a full size mirror in the lid unlike the smaller size in the original. So I'm going to try and ignore the packaging. (Although I am a sucker for packaging).

In the original palette the colours I have always lusted over are Sin, Half Baked and Toasted. Although, I could probably match them to some eyeshadows I already own. The original palette seems to have a lot of shimmer and less matte colours.

The stock photo of the Naked Palette 2 shows a range of Matt eyeshadows but after looking across blogs I've seen that's not the case. Obviously Half Baked is a shimmer, like in the original. There seems to be some good highlighting shadows in the palette as well as a matte black. I actually don't own a matte black. Again looking at the packaging it comes with a Brush. And a good quality brush it looks. This would be perfect for when travelling as it fits nice and compact together. As well as it being double sided. It also comes with a lip gloss which I'm not too excited about.

I was going to ask for the Naked Palette for Christmas but decided against it once news of the second one came about. If you wasn't lucky enough to receive a pr sample it's worth giving it a quick google to see some swatches and looks that have been created with it. As you know it has already been released in the US and is out of stock on the US Urban Decay stockist website. So if that is anything to go by this will probably be as big of a hype as the original. It's been over a year since the first was released and it is still the most blogged about palette. I can remember trying to find it in stock some where but never did. I then gave up.

It is released in the UK January 9th on Debenhams website or February 6th in stores. I may wait till February and treat myself just after payday. But I think I want a nosey at it in person first. But who's kidding I will probably buy it anyways. Are you going to be purchasing the Naked 2 Palette or staying with the original? Or not at all?

Review: Nars Powder Blush in Orgasm

I've wanted this blush for absolutely ages. I've seen it on loads of blogs and can't believe I didn't have it untill now. I have a fair few dupes of it but nothing was quite exact. I struggled to picture the gold glisten running through it. It's not over pigmented but it doesn't need to be. I have pale skin so a bit swept over my cheeks is perfect. A lot of my blushes I have to blend them out for ages and before applying dot the brush on the back of my hand, but I don't have to do that for this. It's a peach colour with gold glitter reflecting perfectly. If you haven't got it already I would definitely suggest to wait for an ASOS Discount code and purchase it then. I got it at a bargain price with the 30% off discount they was running before Christmas.
I've seen a lot of swatches and pictures of this blush on various skin tones and I think it really does work for every one. I can wear it in the day time without it looking too much and the staying power is amazing. I had it on all day on Boxing day and it was still looking the same as when I applied it when removing it at night. I love the dewy look on skin and this gives you the perfect sheen on your cheekbones. When wearing it I stay clear of highlighters to make the look more natural. Although the glitter in the blush isn't in your face. The glitter is the perfect size.
This is definitely going to be a staple in my makeup collection and I'm having a browse already for more Nars Blush shades. I would also like to try the Nars Multiple in Orgasm.

New in: ASOS Rose Gold Watch

I've been lusting over a Rose Gold Michael Kors watch for absolutely ages. But I can never justify if I would actually wear it. So I picked this Rose Gold Watch from ASOS for Christmas. I love it. It is the prettiest shade of gold ever. I also like how it isn't the circular face. The square face gives it an alternative shape. A also got it when there was a 30% off code. Perfect. If I get some wear out of it I'm definitely going to get a Michael Kors one. This idea doesn't work with my bag which is influenced by the Chanel one. I get a lot of use out of it but it's going to be one long time till I can purchase the real thing. Yikes.

ASOS: NYE Outfit

I really can not decide between these two outfits for New Years Eve. They are both from ASOS so I'm hoping to order one tonight or tomorrow morning in the hope for one to come in time. I love how cut the black dress is with the bowesque front. But the playsuit would go perfectly with a black blazer. I'm not even sure what I'm doing for New Years Eve. We haven't decided definate plans yet so the playsuit looks less out there. And it's red! I don't own anything red in my wardrobe. But the dress is so pretty. Ahhh, anyone have any opinions?! I'm really wanting to go out to check the sales out, but I've never really found anything in any sales before. I'm also off to the doctors in a few mins. That is once I'm dressed though! Hopefully i'll back in no time so I can finish watching 90210 online. Getting really addicted to it.
Definitely, need to blog about some of my new makeup I received for Christmas. Finally got Nars Orgasm and it is so much more stunning in real life. I also got two illamasque blushes and I am in love with the cream blush. Never had a cream blush which the texture is so nice and stays put for ages.

Christmas gifts

Had such a lovely Christmas and hope you all have too. It's managed to go by so quick, like usual. I still have a week off work so I'm trying to enjoy my time off. It felt strange being able to take photos in natural daylight today. Thought I'd show you a few bits I got for Christmas. I love being nosey and seeing what other bloggers have been given. I see people write on youtube videos etc. about how some people are trying to show off with what they have got. But I think people look too much into things. I'll post individually on some of the lovely things I recieved later. Hope you recieved everything you wanted. Feel free to link me to any posts! :)

Christmas: Ginger Bread Houses

Just a quick post. I've been really busy with last minute things for Christmas. I'm off to finish my Christmas Shopping tomorrow. Getting up super early.
Yesterday, me and my sister decided to make gingerbread houses. Mine collapsed in a few seconds while my sisters actually managed to stay put. Think I went OTT with the mini party rings and icing oops! Hope everyone is enjoying the festive holiday <3

Zara Star Printed Shirt

I've been wanting to try and find some clothes for the festive holiday and this shirt would be perfect for Christmas day. Only problem is, it is out of stock online. I saw it somewhere (can't remember where) and instantly knew I had to get it. With some searching I found out it is a Zara piece from their Collections Range. So I'm going to have a look and see if I can find a similar alternative. Anyone else find this happens to them alot?! I always want something which ends up being out of stock online or not being in stock in a store near me! Gosh I've spent a good few hours on the Macbook tonight Had a nosey at the ASOS feeling lucky sale at 5:00pm with early access but was disappointed that I didn't find anything I liked. Although I did order some things from ASOS yesterday, so is a good job really. They are going to be for Christmas though. That's if everything fits.
It doesn't feel like a Sunday today. I'm really liking the feeling that I'm not at work tomorrow. That must be it. Going to go do some Christmas shopping with the parents and get some food shopping in as I think we have ate the cupboards dry. I have my sister staying up till Christmas so we're going to be doing some baking. We're definitely going to be doing a bake off with Gingerbread Houses! I can't wait.

Lush: Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

I finished work for Christmas on Friday so I've been trying to relax although I'm stressing out over buying Christmas presents. Only a week to go! I used my Candy Mountain bubble bar which I received as in my gift box from my Blogger Secret Santa. It has been sat in my bedroom with some other treats and I couldn't wait to use it. Along with two magazines I ran my bath with my bubble bar. It is really creamy and moisturising. The pink part of it dissolves tinting the water and then the white part takes a while but foams nicely. I love the smell and can't believe I haven't tried it already. It is vanilla and candy scented which is my two favourite smells.
Unfortunately, I had to get out the bath early as the bath began to leak downstairs into our kitchen which has become a bit of a disaster now. Our carpet on our landing is damp and has puddles as well as water has been pouring down to our kitchen. Luckily we noticed a slight leak the other week and moved our kitchen table to the other side of the room. So luckily nothing was ruined. With my candle lit bath I began to become relaxing untill that happen. Oh well looks like I'm going to have to stock up of Lush goodies ready for when a plumber comes and fixes it. At least I have my Snow Fairy Shower Gel for now. If your after a moisturising Bath product I definitely recommend Candy Mountain. Some products dry my skin out but this definitely didn't (well in the amount of time I was in the bath!).

Celine Bag look alike: Aldo

CÉLINE BAG, CASTERLINE BAG - ALDO
I've been lusting over the Celine bag for a while now. I love how simple it looks. I was browsing on the Aldo website for a new handbag as I love how good quality my other bag was. I came across this beauty. It has the same idea of the bag and hopefully it is as good quality as my other Aldo bag. I've actually ordered it for myself (oops), but from my boyfriend. Hopefully it arrives in time for Christmas. I've got a lot of last minute Christmas shopping to do. I'm just about to make an order with ASOS with the Discount Code from Grazia Magazine. It's 30% off and ends on Monday. ASOS also have a 'lucky' sale which is happening tomorrow night. You can take part in apps to get access to the sale before the time. But I don't usually find anything in the sale so going to order now.
The Casterline Bag is reduced to £34.98 from £48.00 which is pretty good. I also have a Student card again so put in my code for student discount and noticed it only went down about 1p. After looking into it I realised that Aldo offer free delivery for orders over £30. But then with my student discount of about 15% it goes under £30 so then I had to pay £5.00 postage. Crazy eh? So I actually added to my basket some pretty earrings for £8 and it worked out cheaper. Bargain. They didn't offer any special delivery options so I'm hoping they arrive in time. They estimated for it to arrive either next Monday or Tuesday. I ordered them Friday morning at about 8am and I had a dispatch email an hour later. So hopefully all goes well.

Red Lips

So I may resemble a duck but the other pictures didn't come out well. Today was my last day at work un till the new year and I'm so excited! Christmas couldn't come quick enough although I need to get buying some presents sharpish. I also need to buy a new Christmas tree as ours has died! It lasted a week. Really gutted about it. Been looking at fake ones but none have took my fancy. My living is in a state with needles everywhere waiting for the boyfriend to take it outside. Tomorrow I think I'll go see if I can hunt down a suitable tree. Worse thing in the world taking a tree down before christmas. Well technically I'm not taking it down.
I love the shade of this lipstick. Reallly liking the contrast with my hair. I'll make sure to post this weekend which some good quality pictures but I'm planning to get a Canon DSLR in the new year. But can't make my mind up weather to or not. Thoughts?

H&M Glitter Bow Hair tie

Although I rarely wear my hair up when I have been I've loved putting in one of these Glitter Bows from H&M. Isn't it cute? I wore it the other day with my hair in a high pony tail and loosened the sides up to make it look a bit messier. It spices up an original hair style. They was only £1.99 too. Not bad really. I love the accessories department in H&M. They always have some really cute things.

Video Post: New in

I was meant to upload this video last week but for some reason it was so stressful to get it online. It was too long for youtube. (After waiting about 12 hours for it to decide to tell me!) So I tried to edit it and I was getting pretty distracted with watching tele so you can see how badly it is chopped and changed. I did study Media at college and it didn't really help with iMovie. I'm so impatient! My iMovie has some reason decide not to work right. So then I got it cut down a bit and uploaded it to another Video host. Now waited a while for that to upload and here it is. A week later! Haha. And it is such bad quality as I set it up to record, the camera battery went dead. Always happens ey?! So I decided to film it on my iPhone which is a pretty good video camera considering it is the iPhone 4s with the new quality camera and HD recording, but then couldn't find a way for my iPhone to stand up with a mirror behind it as well so I could see if I was in shot so I decided to use the camera on the front of it which isn't great. If I ever do another video it will be in HD for definate.

Look: Bright lips

I'm not usually the one to brave a bright lip but I think it's a really easy way to brighten up my face. As I'm super pale a nude lip has been making me look really ghostly so I fancied trying a bit of colour. This shade is just a Lipstick from ELF's range in the colour 'Gypsy'. It's the perfect bright pink with purple undertones. The lipstick is really long lasting too. Obviously really moisturising lipsticks feel great on the lips but they have poor staying power. I often reach for the glossy ones but a good matte lipstick can last on the lips so much longer. This lipstick is in between matte and glossy but it isn't very moisturising. But, it doesn't dry my lips out either. So it's perfect for my lips basically. I want to add some brighter colours to my lipstick collection. Although, I'm after the perfect daytime pink colour. Not super bright but not nude. The nearest shade in my collection is Mac's Creme Cup. So if anyone has a favourite pink lipstick please let me know!

New in: Topshop Leather Jacket

I've already posted about this jacket but thought I would again as I have some better pictures took in daylight. I've had such a quick day today. Did a bit of Christmas shopping and shopping for myself. Tomorrow morning is going to come quicker than ever. Why do I have to work?! :( No fun! Hopefully I just have till the end of the week before Christmas.
I'm happy to see the list of what presents I need to buy getting smaller and smaller. Although, I love Christmas shopping. My sister is the easiest to buy for so I need to slow down on picking things up for her. Oh dear. Even managed to sort out the awkward brother and boyfriend. Now to sort my Dad and Grandad out. Oh the joys.

Christmas Wish List

I haven't really thought about what I want for Christmas untill now. I've been concentrating on what to get for everyone else. My boyfriend wrote out a list weeks ago. Usually that's me! I'm feeling very festive though. I know I wont get everything on this post but it's just an idea of what I'd like. I hopeing my parents get me the Ghost chair. I'm fed up of having to carry some kind of seating into my room to do my makeup at my dressing table.
I also would like various perfumes. A few to name are Victor & Rolf Flower bomb, Vera Wang Love struck and Ghost Cherish. There's so many more I want but they are my favourites. I love getting perfume for Christmas.
Usually I have a long list of makeup I want but this year I've been naughty and ordered a few bits on behalf of my boyfriend. Otherwise I think he would be clueless. And they were with the Debenhams 15% off offer. So couldn't not. I would love the Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronze universal but it seems to be out of stock on a few websites so that's unlikely. Another beauty product I've been wanting is the Urban Decay Naked Palette. But now the Naked Palette 2 has been released in the US I think I'll wait to the UK release in January for that one. Although, after looking at different reviews I think I still like the original.
I'm hopeing to get a Filofax this year. I think it would be something really handy to have in my handbag to keep my life organised. And of course the Beyonce' Tour DVD for her new album. Watching her on ITV last week reminded how much I love her.
I've out a few other things on the wishlist like the Clarasonic Mia. I've decided to wait till the new year for this. It's on the ASOS website so I'm hopeing I can get some Student Discount off it. Now I've got a Student card again. After two years of using one I forgot how useful they were. Found out the other week that I can still have one as I am doing an Apprenticeship. So that made me very happy. I can look out for all the ASOS Student discounts again!
I've feature some Soap and Glory products but I think I'll wait till the new year when Boots usually have the big pack of them on offer. Look at me trying to save money. But, January is my first proper pay packet from my new job. I did an Apprenticeship in Sales but then half way through it the Administrator left the company so I luckily got swooped into that position and now been offered the full time job. I'm currently living off one wage between two of us. An apprenticeship wage isn't great. But it's paid off. Going to be having a good splurge in the new year. Although, that may be just a new kettle and toaster! haha.

Interior: Ruffle bedding

Today I've sorted out one of my spare rooms. Actually I must admit I watch my boyfriend do most of it but someone has to! We now have a clear space around the bed area ready for my sister to stay for a few nights before Christmas! I think I should have spent the day Christmas shopping but I really didn't want to face the crowds. I've been late 4 times this week for work just from the bad traffic. Everyone seems to be getting up early to start shopping. Atleast I know what to get everyone and I think I have a week left at work which seems un real. Christmas is coming so quick!
I also managed to put up a wall art sticker today in my hall way. Again I said 'I' did but again it was the boyfriend while I just ordered him which bit went where. It looks pretty cute. I'll add a picture tomorrow. It's a tree with a few birds and birdcage.

Anyway onto my bed. I've been doing the washing today (Domestic or what?!) so changed my bedding to a new one I purchased in the week from a Homeware store. It has pretty ruffles on the top and on the side of pillowcases. Now I'm trying to find some ruffle curtains to match. Hopefully I can find some which aren't OTT. The crinkle blanket is from IKEA which I got a good few months ago now. Think it looks lovely on my bed contrasting with the ruffles. Now I'm waiting for the new year to get a new bed. We really want a Super Kingsize one. I'm currently sleeping on a double bed and my feet dangle off the bed and I bang my head. So it's not ideal.

I'm currently snuggled in the corner of my sofa waiting for X Factor to start. Can't believe it is the final already. I'm team Amelia. Love her hair now that she's got rid of that pink rinse. Her voice is stunning. Although I wouldn't mind Marcus or Little Mix to win. Really not fussed.
