My desk space

I'm finally happy with my desk space. I try to keep to a theme. I love white walls (and if you have been to my house you would pick that up pretty easy).

Giveaway

I've just reached 500 GFC Followers this week, so I thought I would do a Giveaway as a little thank you. I was a little un-sure on what to give away...

Stella

I previously mentioned in this post that I purchased 'Stella by Stella McCartney' in a box set in the Boots sale. I've been meaning to get this perfume ever since I smelt it - which I think could possibly be a good few years ago now...

New in: Newlook wedge boots

I've been wanting to purchase these boots from Newlook but since going back to my local store to purchase them they have only had size 6's which my big feet will not squeeze into. Whilst having a look for them I saw these wedge style boots.

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

I finally brought the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I really don't know what has took me so long. With so many amazing reviews on the product I really wanted to try it myself. This is also my first Liz Earle product.

Today

Blouse Newlook
Necklace Primark

I thought I'd post a picture of what I wore today. I'm wearing the blouse I showed you in a previous post. I need to buy a bigger tripod so I can actually capture otfit posts but this is kind of half an outfit. I was at work at 7 this morning and finished just in time to watch the Royal Wedding. I've just been out for a meal with the boyfriend.

I love this blouse. It's a bright coral. It is so out of my comfort zone. My hair is scrapped back into a bun. I haven't done anything special with it because It hasn't been doing what I've want it to. I may give the John Freda 3 Day Straight a try tomorrow morning. I need a change. I hate the way my face looks with my hair up, but oh well!
I hope everyone has had a lovely day today, however you spent it.

Royal Wedding

Didn't Kate just look stunning?! The dress designed by Sarah Burton, creative director at the Fashion House Alexander McQueen was just so pefect for her. It looked like a fairytale wedding. And of course Victoria Beckham in her navy tunic dress from her latest AW Collection. She kept it minimal with a hair tied back in a sleek pony tail. Her shoes were gorgeous as ever, specially customised Christian Louboutins. David sported a Ralph Lauren suit, looking very smart indeed.

Accessorize Baked Bronzer in Golden Sand Shade 01

I saw this while browsing Superdrug makeup stands. It looks very much like the MAC MSF's. I swatched it on my hand and saw how soft and alike it is the the MAC Products. I picked it up in Shade 1, but wish I picked it up in a darker shade. I am pale but as it's getting warmer and Fake tanning religiously and need a bronzer which is darker so I may go back and pick up another.
It haves the most prettiest shimmer to it but not heavy on the skin.
I want to try out the over baked products the range has. The banked Blushers looks so pretty. The pigmentation is really good as well. The swatch above was with a light touch.

Royal Wedding: Getting into the spirit of things

I'm going to watch the Royal Wedding after work tomorrow! I'm so glad that my shift is before the wedding, although I rather not be at work at all.
This is my very bad attempt of doing a union jack on one of my nails. It kinda looks like a spiders web but I tried, I guess. Haha. It looks pretty bad in fact. I haven't ever experimented with my nails. I sort of wack a colour on and be done with it. I've used a Sally Hansen Top Coat over it and used Barry M's Limited Edition in 030 and a Misguided colour in nude and an Elf purple grunge colour which I'm unaware of the colour because the sticker has came off. I decided to not go for the traditional colours and grabbed whatever was in front of me.

How is everyone spending the day tomorrow?
I wish I brought Bunting and everything but I wasn't very well organised.

New

1. Newlook Hair Tie I love all the bows and floral head wear in the high street at the moment. I'm planning on wearing this when I went my hair out my face in a high bun.
2. Primark Jewellery You may notice the first necklace with the shark teeth on it tangled beyond relief. I can't seem to get my head around where exactly the tangle starts. (The mother will have to sort it out).  I love the colouring on the second necklace and the floral heart is lovely. It may sound weird; but I love the noise it makes on. And it doesn't look like a Primark necklace to me.
3. Primark Sunglasses Case I always break sunglasses when they get squashed in my bag so needed a case, and this leopard print one was perfect.
4. Primark Daisy Elasticated Head Band This makes me feel all summery and is really pretty.
5. Primark Floral Gladiators I originally picked up the tan gladiators with lace bows on after taking ages to decide as my sister has them and as much as I loved them, I didn't want to wear matching shoes with her. I decided to get them but then realised the last one in my size someone had snapped the elastic and put scruff marks all on them. So these wore a spur of the moment buy to last me untill I find some I really like. Oh and I know I have big feet but I would look silly with smaller feet. I'm not out of proportion!
6. Primark Tights I was looking for the suspender style tights but they only had the hearts ones. I also picked up another pair of Black tights. These ones are really comfy and thick.
7. H&M Clips I've been after some of these to clip each side of my hair back.
8. H&M Turquoise rings I've seen these on the website and picked them up as soon as I saw them. I loved the other colours they had but decided on the turquoise. Oh and silly me picked up a Large when I needed a Medium. I'm going to have to try wearing one on my thumb. They're still pretty though.
9. H&M Bangles and Bracelets I love the colours of these and so did the Lady at the till who commented on them! I love the nude, black and white together.
10. Primark Take a Brow Attempt I've wanted to try this out after reading it on a blog. Post will shortly follow.
11. Topshop Liner Brush and Creme Blusher in Neon Rose The blusher is gorgeous on and I love Topshop blushers. The colour doesn't look so extreme on. And the Eye liner brush is really good quality.

Sorry about it being so picture and text heavy but I wanted to show things in details.
Hope everyone has had a lovely day. I never managed to get my dog's hair cut. He went to the (cant think of the word) Dog cutting place, and Toby got scared so I had to go back to him and then the man couldn't get the clippers through his fur and then ran out of time. So he's booked in for 2 weeks time.

It's looking sunny again today (outside the window), I'm about to go to take my dog for a hair cut! I'm going to treat him to another new collar to match his new improved look! I hope he will suit shorter fur.

These sunglasses are what I brought yesterday. The top pair are H&M and were £5.99 and the bottom pair are Newlook and were £4.99. The newlook ones have leopard print on the arms which makes them different than the normal ones. I picked up some nice jewellery and accessories yesterday so I'll post them either tonight or tomorrow. I think you can never have enough sunglasses; that or I keep breaking mine or squishing them in my handbag. Yikes.

New

1, 2 & 3 H&M 4 Topshop 5 Primark 6 & 7 Newlook

Here is the clothes which i brought yesterday when I went to Meadow Hall. I loved everything in H&M. I really like the colour blocking trend and so picked up a few brighter tops which are not my usual. And after searching for ages, got myself a elasticated maxi skirt in Newlook.
Accessories to follow...
I'm going to show the clothes in more depth in outfit posts tomorrow?

Elf Lipstick in Classy and Gypsy

 L Classy R Gypsy
 Classy on Lips
 Gypsy on Lips
L Classy R Gypsy
These lipstick are only £1.50 each which is pretty good. Classy is a muted pink. It lies between a dark and medium. Gypsy is more of a purple toned pink although in my swatches it looks fluorescent for some reason. It may be the light hitting it. I love textures of both of these. They are highly pigmented and not drying. I have really dry lips so finding lipsticks which don't dry my lips out and gather in the cracks is a mission.
I haven't tried any lipsticks from ELF's normal range before as I thought they would be cheap and most cheap lipsticks dry out my lips. These don't and stay put for a long time. Which is always a bonus.
I've been trying to venture into more in your face lip shades recently after consuming too many nudes for my likeing. Classy makes me think of a darker MAC 'Creme Cup' but without the blue reflects. Gypsy looks purple but on skin goes to a dark bright pink, if that is possible? I guess is a fuchsia berry colour. It's hard to tell from the swatch.  It can be used sheer or build it up for a Matt finish. The swatches on the website doesn't do any justice and I did search for swatches before picking the colours.
I've worn Classy today and it's becoming one of my favourite lipsticks.
The scent of the lipsticks aren't over powering and smell more like a fruit. I'm surprised they don't have that tangy taste that other cheap lipsticks have. They are very pleasant to wear.
ELF Lipsticks £1.50 each

ELF purchases

I ordered some ELF Makeup last week while they had free postage and gift. They seem to always have promotions on, which makes the makeup even more cheap! I wanted to try a few things I haven't already. I love their brushes but stopped myself purchasing some more as I'm about to order some Sigma Brushes. I always swayed myself from the eyelashes which I due need but still searching for some with a different style.

I ended up choosing the ELF Golden Bronzer from the studio range. I love the packaging for the Studio range, its really sleek and doesn't look how much it is worth. I'm VERY pale so I usually stay away from anything with shimmer and bronzer but I've got into fake tanning and with this lovely weather we are having I've been wanted to add more colour to my face.
I wanted to try one of the Mineral Eye shadows. I only brought the one but I may try more If i like it.
I brought two lipsticks from the normal range. One in Gypsy and the other in Classy. I've got a few mineral Lipsticks but I have to overload in the Carmex before wearing them as they are extremely drying
I brought a plumping lip glaze, just because I haven't tried one before. This is in Fire Coral.
I got two Mineral Lipsticks. One is in Au Naturale and Trend setter. I love the look of these.
I already have a few of the studio blushes so i decided to pick up two which i don't have. I got Candid Coral and Peachy Keen. I'm loving all the corals at the moment but I'm still looking for a true coral blush. I think have one in their new collection so i may purchase that one
Oh and I got a free glossy tube!

I'll add swatches soon and let you know what I think out of what I got once I've used them all.

Hair, another day

Since cutting my hair I haven't been tempted by the straightners or curling wand. I like my hair natural as it creates sort of defined waves. This may be because I'm lazy and can't be bothered to sit there styling my hair but I've got into a habit of clipping my hair back on either side and leaving my side fringe alone. I really want to try John Freda's 3 Day straight but can't come to terms with putting hear on my hair. I may try it at the weekend.

I have mind you changed a lot of the products that I use in my hair to create more volume now it's shorter. I hate flat hair!

I've had a strange day today. I'm urgently looking for a new job. I didn't get the job I applied for, didn't even get to the interview stage so I've re-applied for a different position at the same company. After spending way too long re applying online going through the questions, sent it off I realised I couldn't re log in and I wrote my email address in wrong. After feeling too sorry for myself I started trying to log in with my email but with different spelling mistakes and eventually realised i missed the second letter of the start of my email. Now I feel relieved although I may still fail to get an interview! But it's worth a shot. Hopefully soon I can have a job which I don't dread to go to. I also wouldn't mind having extra cash as £120 a month just doesn't quite cut it when I feel like all my shifts drag as it is. Enough of my moaning...

My ELF order arrived yesterday and I've only just had time to properly look through it. I love everything I got and was suprised by a few things so I'll do a post to show you before the weekend.

Key pieces from River Island

Next week I'm going Meadow Hall and planning on buying some new clothes. I usually have a mental list of what things I want to pick up and when I go into the store, my mind goes blank and I walk out with nothing. I'm going to jot down on my phone main things I want in the hope to getting what I went for. Hopefully that will work. Does anyone elses mind go blank?

I love the tribal style for the summer. River Islands Playsuit is stunning. I don't often want a lot of things from River Island. I must admit I'm not too keen on their handbags with the brassy 'River Island' imprinted on it. I feel like it ruins a really nice handbag. Don't get me wrong It hasn't always put me off. I've had my fair few of Purses with it on. I feel the playsuit is very H&M than River island. I've been liking quite a few things lately.

I saw LLYMLRS sporting this ring in a recent blog post and I've said in previous posts that I want to get my hands on a YSL Ring. Untill that happens this one is slightly similar.

I'm loving all the head scarfs all over the Highstreet and this one goes with the trend tribal as well. I love the way they look. Topshop also have some lovely Bow ones in which I want to get my hands on.

I need some new Sunglasses and they are the shape I'm wanting. I'm not certain to I try them on to see if they suit my face but I love the Leopard print detailing.

I promise I'll start doing some outfit posts instead of posting my wish lists but I haven't found the right space to do it yet and I need a bigger Tripod which I'm looking into.

Toby and update

My dog, Toby is waiting till next Wednesday to have his fur cut. He is having it really short and I thought I'd show you what he looks like. He is really mucky and I'm going to have to give him a bath in a minute as he's been on a walk. Bless him.

Thankyou for all my comments and followers. I recently reached 100 followers which is amazing! I never thought I'd get one follower. I've got lots of things planned for the blog very soon. My sister has started up a blog. She has Youtube videos as well (I'm way too shy to do that!).
http://eraseddreams.blogspot.com/

I'm going to spend the rest of my day looking for a new job. I can't wait to leave the one I am in. I really can't bear it any longer. I've applied for a few and with any luck I'll get an interview.

New from Next and TK Maxx

I thought I'd show you what I picked up from Next the other day with a gift card I received from my birthday. I brought this mini tea light lantern which I think is so cute! It was £4 and fits in perfectly with everything in my living room.

£4.00 Next
I brought this wooden trinket box. This will go perfectly when I eventually find the perfect dressing table. You can put a picture in the heart.

£10.00 Next
I also picked up a few perfumes as I love the Next perfumes. I picked up two small bottles.
I brought Just Pink: Summer Edition. I already have the original but when I smelt this I had to have it as i love the sweetness of it. I also picked up the another which I have misplaced. It smells like the beach. I find these size perfumes are perfect to go inside your handbag.

£6.50 each Next
My dog looks like a fluff ball asleep on the floor!

I found this mirrored box in TkMaxx and fell in love with it. I love the pink lining inside and the shape of it. It will fit perfectly with my other trinket box. TkMaxx is amazing for finding unique pieces and I see new things there every time I go.

Topshop Bags

I'm in need for a clutch/small shoulder bag for times when I'm going out and don't want a big over sized handbag. I'm in love with Topshops bags at the moment. I love all the colour blocking and pastel shades they are bringing out for the summer. I love all the detailing on these bags and cant make my mind up what style I want. I only need a bag to carry bare essentials such as phone, purse, a few makeup products, keys etc. So i could get away with purchasing a clutch. I love the first pleated clutch. The zip detailing is perfect.

Lacura makeup at Aldi

Aldi isn't my 'To go to' plave to buy makeup. In a previous blog post, I showed a swatch of a blush I picked up from my local Aldi. It is a cool pink with gold shimmers going through it and it's became one of my favourite blushes. Since buying that and loving it i've decided to pick a couple of things up.
You can find their makeup on their website here.
I decided to try out their concealer. I have had it before but it was that long ago and I don't think I used it a lot, one of them things I just put into the back of the draw. I couldn't remember if it was a good coverage but thought i'd try it out.

Swatch of the concealer

Swatch of the concealer blended out

The concealer works well under the eyes. That was the main reason I wanted it for. I have really bad under eye darkness and it becomes a pain to cover them up without looking cakey or not covered enough. It does cover them but not completly. I have to continue with the Collection 2000's lasting perfection concealer at the inner and outer corners.

£2.99 Lacura at Aldi

I also picked up their daily moisturiser. I love the packaging of this as it's so easy to get the right amount out. It has shimmers through it which helps even out your skin tone. I have so many products which do this as I love having a moisturier which makes me look dewy to cover my dry skin.

Swatch of the daily moisturiser

Swatch of the daily moisturiser bleneded out

I love the application and the smell of it is gorgeous. It smells of apricots and other fruity smells and reminds me of the summer so much! It's a good base for my makeup and is nearly as good as the clinique dramtically different moisturiser. But i dont find that is moistures my face as well. It sinks in well but i feel like my skin is still dry after application and it just covers it up without hydrating. I'm going to stick at it for longer and see if i change my mind.
