My desk space

I'm finally happy with my desk space. I try to keep to a theme. I love white walls (and if you have been to my house you would pick that up pretty easy).

Giveaway

I've just reached 500 GFC Followers this week, so I thought I would do a Giveaway as a little thank you. I was a little un-sure on what to give away...

Stella

I previously mentioned in this post that I purchased 'Stella by Stella McCartney' in a box set in the Boots sale. I've been meaning to get this perfume ever since I smelt it - which I think could possibly be a good few years ago now...

New in: Newlook wedge boots

I've been wanting to purchase these boots from Newlook but since going back to my local store to purchase them they have only had size 6's which my big feet will not squeeze into. Whilst having a look for them I saw these wedge style boots.

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

I finally brought the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I really don't know what has took me so long. With so many amazing reviews on the product I really wanted to try it myself. This is also my first Liz Earle product.

Topshop S/S

I'm really likeing everything in at Topshop at the moment. Okay... I usually do love Topshop but theres a lot of pieces which are standing out. The shoes are to die for. I could never buy heels as high as them as they would make me a giant as im 5ft11 and a half to be exact. If you saw my last posts of my weekly wishlist you saw these Newlook heels which are a similar style, even if they are ever so similiar I couldn't justify myself in buying shoes I wouldn't wear. I'm going to pic the Newlook Heels up next week when I go shopping on my Birthday.

It's my 18th Birthday next week. It seems I had to wait so so long to become 18. I know it wont be as good as I think but I can't wait to be sometimes be considered as an adult. Sounds silly i know... But I've grown up with people thinking I'm older than I am. Try catching a train and wanting a child ticket with them wanting to see some I.D to prove it. It was a tad bit annoying.
Thankyou for my new followers. I don't seem to have many but to me it seems I have loads. I'm slowly going up and I get excited when my followers show up as one more. And also thank you for my lovely comments.

For anyone who wanted to know where I purchased my Faux AW Bag, it was from this Ebay sellar. It came so quick so I would definately reccomend them. I'm still using my bag everyday and I'm still in love with it if not more.

New Hair

I thought and thought what to do with my hair. With my Birthday to be fast approching, reaching the age of 18, I thought I needed a change. I decided that my hair had got so so dry with too many split ends, that i'd start from scratch. I got my hair cut to just past my shoulders with layers put throughout, making it look shorter. I also had my side fringe feathered in so it's more of a swept look now, and I'm likeing it.

I was so scared of cutting my hair, but my trusty hair extensions which i orginally used to add extra volume in my hair, can be used to add length into my hair when i miss my locks. I must say it's such a strange feeling not having to dry my hair for a long amout of time and washing it seems to be a lot quicker. I'm sure to be growing it longer but for now, I like the look.

20.03.11

 1. My boyfriend brought my these lovely roses this week. Our house is very bare at the moment. We're buying all our decorative items bit by bit while we decorate so I was in need of some pretty flowers to brighten the kitchen up.
 2. This seems to be my millionth Blackberry. There always seems to be a reason it stops working, freezes, doesn't keep battery life and many other reasons. I'm going to get an iPhone when my contract runs out soon. I hope they are more reliable, although I love my blackberry dearly.
 3. At mine and my Boyfriends house we haven't got round to getting Internet installed yet. But when I go back to my parents I'm quick on my Macbook browsing all my daily websites.
 4. I attempted a bit of baking. I went a bit OTT with the sprinkles and they ended up all over the work top. They tasted yummy though.
5. My dog is starting to look like a clown and has curtains of fur on his face. He is in desperate needs for a cut so will be booking him in this week.

Review: Clinique High Impact Mascara

So as most people know Glamour magazine is offering free clinique samples in this months magazine for their 10th Birthday Special. I picked up a few to see what the products are like as I've never purchased a Clinique product. I've been using the High Impact Mascara.

I thought this was the perfect chance to try out the mascara. The sample was for 4g. For that I can really find out if I love it or hate it.  The full size product retails for £15 for 8g, so I'm getting about £7.50 worth of product for £2 and a glamour magazine which is pretty much a bargain!

So I'm a brunette and my eyelashes are literally black. I've never had trouble with getting my eyes to look dark. I'm always looking for mascaras to create volume or length. I don't have to put layers and layers of mascara to create the look I want. I've been looking for a mascara which gives volume as well as length and I can't seem to find a mascara which does both without looking clumpy. As much as I love the Rimmel Lash Accelerator and Collection 2000's Big Fake Mascara, I find that one mascara gives me length and the other gives me volume. I want something which meets them in the middle, giving me the best of both worlds.

Firstly, the mascara looks very sleek. I like how it doesn't look tacky and isn't in your face. I applied a coat on my eyelashes (as you can see below) and I love the effect it gives.

It feels like it condition's your eyes. It goes on very smoothly and isn't too wet nor too dry. I've also found the product really easily to remove. Other mascaras smear around my face while this one easily comes off without alot of effort.

I'm going to definitely be picking this up once my sample has run out. It's a great alternative for a natural yet dramatic way of making my eyes look more open without them clumping together. I also don't get any fall out of the product throughout the day which is definitely a plus!

In need for a new look...

I'm booked in at the hairdressers Friday afternoon. I've been thinking and thinking what I want doing. I dont want the usual trim. I feel like my hair hasnt changed for years. It's gradually got longer but I have dry and split ends which look ugly! As much as I love long hair, I can't help but feel it would be better to get it cut much shorter and start fresh. I haven't used any hot styling products since last October, apart from using a blow dryer with heat defense.

So... I've been lusting over many celebrities hair recently.

I love Cheryl's hair in this picture. I want volume and I know most of the volume is down to hair extensions, but this length is perfect.

Another celebrity which who went from long hair to shorter is Shenea Grimes (Annie from 90210).

I'm scared i'll miss my longer hair, but it will always grow back ey? I think I'm going to ask for hair just past shoulders with lots of layers framing the face. I have a grown out side fringe. It's kind of gone into a side swept fringe. I don't know whether to leave it to grow out or get it put back in. Decisions!

I'll post pictures on Friday on what i decide on...

Anyone else gone shorter recently?

PInk Pink Pink

 (Excuse the chipped nails)

I have been loving the 17 Lipstick in Beehive and still haven't remembered to pick some other shades up from the range. Whenever I don't know what lipstick to put on I always go for Mac 'Hue'. It's the perfect shade. I need to pick up Mac's 'Creme Cup' and some other shades I've also been wanting.

Another product I want to purchase in different shades is Sleek's Pout polishes. This go on quite sheer but are very easily built up. They make my lips feel so soft!

Using these products so much recently has made me want to try out different shades in the ranges. I feel like I need to venture out a bit more.

I've been really into having a natural face and eyes and pairing it with a pink lip shade. These 3 lip products are what I keep on going for on a regular basis at the moment.

Top to Bottom - Sleek Pout polish in 'Powder pink', 17 Lipstick in Beehive, Mac Lipstick in Hue.

I like going for a fresh eyed look to make my eyes look brighter and more awake. I have to pick up a coral lipstick as soon as possible, as I love how they look.

Natural collection for a less than natural price

When browsing through boots, I thought I'd picked up a few products from the Natural Collection range. Ive had a few of their blushes, lipsticks and eyeshadows before but a long time ago and since then their range has grown and packaging changed. If you don't already know most of the products in the Natural collection range are £1.99 or less. They usually have them on offer for 3 for £5.
I already own a few of their lipsticks in various shades, my favourite being the moisture shine lipstick in 'Apple Blossom' which is a really sutle pink nude and makes your lips really soft.

So.. I first picked up a blusher in the shade 'Pink cloud '. It's a really barbie pink colour. It's sheer but builable, which is perfect.

I also picked up two eyeshadows as none of the lipsticks i dont already own took my fancy. I picked up an eyeshadow in 'Barley ' and one in 'Willow '.

Barley reminds my of the finish of a mac frost eyeshadow. It's not as pigmented as a MAC eyeshadow but it's not far off. Barley is a muted gold with shimmer reflects through it.

Willow is a purpley frosted taupe colour and also gives off the same finish of a MAC frost eyeshadow. I paired a MAC frosted eyeshadow in 'Jest', along with them to see the difference in finishes.

L to R - Barley, Willow, Jest

As you can see in the picture they are perfect dupes for a frost finish and amazing quality for the price. I'm going to pop into Boots to purchase some more shapes to add to my collection. I find that sometime in my local boots the display is nearly empty for the Natural Collection and then other times it's completly full. So hopefully they have stocked up recently!

I am going to do a post showing me wearing the eyeshadows and blush very shortly.

Matalan Jewellery

My recent finds from Matalan. All the jewellery was reduced. I also picked up a ring with a stone on but I've misplaced that already. I always seem to pick up really pretty pieces for a fraction of the usual price. My favourite piece of the them is the air baloon with the stone. It's on a long chain and I managed to get it at half price for £3.

I haven't been able to post a lot recently as I have no internet at my house but when I go back to my parent's I can upload there. Hopefully the internet will be in my house in no time!

Makeup/Skincare purchases

I thought I'd share with you a few makeup/skincare products I have been purchasing over the last few weeks. I thought about doing a Febuary favourites but I've been trying out a lot of new products lately and haven't made my mind up on many.

Benefit Cream Liner/Eyeshadow in Sippin n Dippin

I picked this up very cheaply at www.cheapsmells.com. I haven't come round to purchasing a MAC Paint pot which I've been wanting, but I thought for the price of around £6.99 including postage, I could try this out first. I never was a eyeshadow person. If I wore eyeshadow it would be a neutral but now I like experimenting with different shades to add a dimension.

Aldi Brand Makeup Blusher in Sunset

I picked this up at my local Aldi store. A while a go I read on someone's blog (Can't remember whos) that it was a dupe for Nars Orgasm. I was meaning to pick it up for a while so thought i'd try it out. It's a different shade to my normal blushes I own. It is a deep pink with golden undertones.

Collection 2000 Lip liner in Clover Pink
ELF Feather Proof moisturising Lip Liner in Natural Blush

Top Collection 2000 Lip liner in Clover Pink
Bottom ELF Feather Proof moisturising Lip Liner in Natural Blush

I've been needing a few different Lip liners. I picked up one from ELF and another from Collection 2000. One is a deep pink and the other is more of a peachy pink. This are great paired with my current favourite lipsticks.

ELF Eyeliner Brush
ELF eyeshadow smudge brush
ELF Stipple brush

I picked up a few brushes from ELF. One is an eyeliner brush. I've been needing a good eye liner brush for a while. I haven't got on very well with this one. I think I'm needing an angled eye liner brush. I can't get the hand of gel liner. I also got a smudge eye shadow brush from ELF. I wanted a medium fluffy brush so for £1.50 I couldn't not. And finally I picked up the ELF Stipple Brush. I wanted this since it got released and I waited and waited till it came back in stock. If I'm honest I thought It would be more denser. I was going to try it with my foundation but have stuck to using it with blusher for a natural look.

No 7 Radiance Boosting Hot Cloth Cleanser
Superdrug Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream

I've been through so many of the Illuminating moisture creams. I use this under my foundation to give me a dewy glow. I've been wanting to purchase the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish but when I saw the No 7 version I decided to try it out first as I usually removed my makeup with a wipe but thought It was dying my skin out. I absolutly love using this cleanser. As soon as it runs out i'll be purchasing the Liz Earle one. It makes my face feel so much softer and clean.

Grateful for the postman...

It's here! I ordered it Wednesday night and it came Friday morning! I was so happy to see it waiting for me and it's absolutely gorgeous! It may not be the real thing but for now it's completely good enough. I was scared that it wasn't going to be good quality but it's fine! The inside is a brown/purple colour and doesn't look tacky which i was hoping very much for.
I really didn't want to wait ages for it and ending up buying the bag from a UK seller on Ebay. At first i was close to purchasing one from Hong Kong but decided not. I'm so glad i didn't.

I'm currently sat here moving stuff into my new handbag. I love sorting through my handbag. Having it organised makes me feel a whole lot better! I can feel a hell of a lot more things in this handbag. I was using a small satchel bag but now i can carry around with me what I desire.

GH Lipshades

I've been recently trying to find a few shades of lipsticks which I can go to on a daily basis. I'm totally in love with Mac's hue and wear it most days but I've been wanting to find some other shades so it's not the same old. I'm a very much a pink/nude kind of girl. I can't wear nudes which mute out my lips, as I'm very pale and also don't like the concealer lips look. I haven't find the perfect nude to suit me as yet and i don't like too pink on a daily basis as i like to tone my lips down. After seeing the Boots 17 Lipstick in Beehive on many blogs I brought it and love it. It's sheer and moisturising but is buildable.

I also did an order to ELF when they had tone of their many offers and picked up a mineral lipstick in 'Runaway Pink'. I knew that the swatches on the ELF website aren't true to the colours so i did have a search around for swatches too and decided on this colour. When it came, at first I thought I wouldn't like it but it's a very wearable colour. Unlike the 17 lipstick i have to wear a good lip balm underneath and lipgloss on top to keep my lips moisturised. As you can see from the swatches the 17 Lipstick is very glossy while the Elf mineral lipstick if more about the colour.

If you haven't tried any 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick's before I would highly recommend them. They aren't the most pigmented lipsticks but they are meant to be sheer and moisturising and feel amazing on the lips.

Elf Mineral Lipstick in Runaway Pink £3.50

For anyone who read my recent posts, i ordered my Faux Alexander Wang Rocco bag last night. It's been dispatched today so hopefully it's going to be anytime soon! I'll be running to the door when the postman comes. I hate it when they don't even knock at the door and just post one of them cards saying I wasn't in when I clearly was and they never even knocked at the door, so I have to trail into my local town to collect it. Annoys me so much. Fingers crossed it comes tomorrow!

Lusting for AW Bag

If you read my last post you would have seen that i've been searching for a perfect faux Alexander Wang Studded bag. I really can't afford the real one as much as I would like to.

I've found a few but none perfect. I want it to come with a detachable strap but the ones i keep finding don't. Has anyone come across any? Would love to know :)

I can really see myself ordering one by the end of the night but I'm so impatient. I hate waiting for it to be delivered!

Spendings

Primark Feather and Bead top £6
Primark Sailor Shorts £8

I haven't seemed to purchase much clothes recently down to two things. 1. I've been super super busy and 2. I haven't seem too much I've liked. I hate the move of A/W to S/S. I always can't wait for the sales to be gone to eventually see new stock. Don't get me wrong, I love a good sale but It always makes shopping dull.

Enough of the moaning. I can't wait for the sun to stay out for longer than 5 minutes! Summer couldn't come quick enough. I haven't been posting lately due to moving in to a new house. I haven't actually moved out mine but i just consider it as two homes. I've got stuck into planning what room is being decorated in what way. I can't wait to put some paint on the walls and decorate it how i like it. It's pretty much a blank canvas. Due to moving in a new house we haven't got internet up and running yet. So whenever i get to go home I will post what I want and have wrote in the meantime.

I've been lusting over an Alexander Wang bag for ages and after reading up on VIXPO's blog seeing her getting a faux AW bag made me look into it. I'm deciding whether to buy this. It's a fraction of the price of a real one, but i just dont want it to be a disappointment as it looks gorgeous in the pictures. But I will probably be buying it by the end of tonight as much as I wish I could afford a real one.

Thanks to all my new followers and the lovely comments, there will be a lot more posts soon.
