As the Naked 2 Palette release date in the UK becomes upon us, your probbaly alike me and you are debating whether to purchase it or not. I actually don't have the original one. I wanted it for a while after seeing so much hype upon it but I managed to focus on other eyeshadows. I started getting more interested in the MAC Eyeshadows. And of as lately I have been happily using my MUA Heaven and Earth Palette which is a bargain of a price. When I saw release dates and stock pictures of the Naked 2 Palette it reminded me of the original and how much I once had it. Again I've been looking at blog posts and lusting after the palette. I think watching MakeupbyTiffanyD's video comparing the both made me want either of them even more. Now I'm not one for matte eyeshadows. I love a bit of shimmer on the eyes and of course I love nude colours. So the obvious palette to choose would be the original one. But now with all the hype of the new one I really want that one. I think the packaging of the original for me the original palette looks nicer. Although I love the shade of the Naked Palette 2 and that would probably last longer and be easier to maintain being clean. Also the Naked 2 Palette comes with a full size mirror in the lid unlike the smaller size in the original. So I'm going to try and ignore the packaging. (Although I am a sucker for packaging).
In the original palette the colours I have always lusted over are Sin, Half Baked and Toasted. Although, I could probably match them to some eyeshadows I already own. The original palette seems to have a lot of shimmer and less matte colours.
The stock photo of the Naked Palette 2 shows a range of Matt eyeshadows but after looking across blogs I've seen that's not the case. Obviously Half Baked is a shimmer, like in the original. There seems to be some good highlighting shadows in the palette as well as a matte black. I actually don't own a matte black. Again looking at the packaging it comes with a Brush. And a good quality brush it looks. This would be perfect for when travelling as it fits nice and compact together. As well as it being double sided. It also comes with a lip gloss which I'm not too excited about.
I was going to ask for the Naked Palette for Christmas but decided against it once news of the second one came about. If you wasn't lucky enough to receive a pr sample it's worth giving it a quick google to see some swatches and looks that have been created with it. As you know it has already been released in the US and is out of stock on the US Urban Decay stockist website. So if that is anything to go by this will probably be as big of a hype as the original. It's been over a year since the first was released and it is still the most blogged about palette. I can remember trying to find it in stock some where but never did. I then gave up.
It is released in the UK January 9th on Debenhams website or February 6th in stores. I may wait till February and treat myself just after payday. But I think I want a nosey at it in person first. But who's kidding I will probably buy it anyways. Are you going to be purchasing the Naked 2 Palette or staying with the original? Or not at all?

I already have the Naked Palette original and I'm going to get the 2 when it comes out, although it's really got a lot of colours so I've got more than enough. The 2 seems to have more lighter colours but if I could only have one I'd get the original.
