This was untill a trip to Superdrug I had a look at their shampoo range. My usual brand would be a Herbal Essence or Aussie but the Samy brand was on offer for 2 for £6. When the shampoo retails for £5.59 I couldn't resist. Instead of picking up the matching conditioner I decided to get a thickening spray instead as I have dry hair and need to keep my hair moisturised and volumising products usually dry your hair.
On the first use of the shampoo and applying the thickening shampoo my hair became so manageable and i could style it how I wanted. It didn't dry my scalp out or have excess residue due to it's sulphate free ingredients. I continued to use it for about a week when I noticed my scalp starting to become greasy. This was new to me as I usually have to re wash my hair when it turns super dry. So i switched back to my normal shampoo and conditioner and continued to use the thickening spray. This worked out fine and still gave me the effect I wanted.
I find the best way to use the shampoo is using it a couple of times a week. This stops my hair getting use to the shampoo and with the change it works wonders. I then alternate with Aussie and the herbal essences shampoo.
I love how my hair has grown but my curls don't drop as my hair isn't being weighed down. It's definitely worth a try is your looking for something to give you that extra volume.

Your hair looks lovely in that last photo, so I think I'll give that thickening spray a go, my hair's kinda fine so it doesn't hold much volume. I tend to use a product removal shampoo and then a volumising conditioner, but if this works just as well, then awesome :)
