If you're anything like me you will always be looking for the 'perfect' foundation which matches your skin texture and shade. For me I'm always trying new foundations and have gathered a collection of foundation which I just don't like. I have others which are 'OK' but only a couple which I like. For day to day I usually use Revlon Photo Ready, as I have dry skin and it makes my face look dewy. I also like Revlon Colour Stay although it is really heavy. Lately another Drug store foundation I have been liking is Bourjous Healthy Mix. This smells divine but it doesn't do anything for my skin. I have sensitive skin and it looks fine once applied but throughout the day it goes patchy and lately it has broke me out.
After running out of my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural I decided it was about time to re-purchase. There isn't many foundations which I do re-purchase but I love everything about the powder. As I have dry skin I only want to add a thin layer of powder to set my liquid foundation. This is perfect for just lightly dusting over your face. It doesn't sit in your pores and lasts all day.
I'm also trying out MAC Studio Fix Fluid. I was in Meadow Hall yesterday and at the MAC Counter. I swatched the Studio Fix Fluid on my hand and saw how moisturising it was. It appears thick when your first apply but blends out thinly. I've read reviews in the past which suggest that the Foundation is a matte foundation. This has put me off previously but it gives me a dewy finish which I like.
The picture of me is after a day at work and it didn't budge at all. The image isn't the greatest quality but was took with artificial lighting. Working in an office makes my face even drier and patchy. I didn't even top any of my makeup up. I also have problems with getting the right shade for my face. I am quite pale but sometimes I over estimate how pale I actually am. I got the MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15. I thought this was be too dark as I feel ridiculously pale when I don't use any fake tan and with this foundation being the first MAC liquid foundation I have tried I was lucky enough for the shade being perfect. It really brightens up my face.

This looks great!
ReplyDeleteI was told by the MA at MAC not to get Studio Fix fluid because it's matte and not hydrating but after reading your review I'm going to dig out my little sample pot and try it!
ReplyDeleteIt always seems to give people a flawless finish too! x
